Bus Travel

The school has roster of teachers who supervise students while waiting for the bus.

Bus Procedure

Students who catch the group of buses here at school at 3.26 are allowed to proceed to their buses and board. All other students wait in the quadrangle until their bus is called. They are expected to follow the instructions of staff regarding lining up and proceeding to the bus.

On boarding a bus, a student is required to show their bus pass and have the backpacks/bags in their hands.

If they are going to travel on a different bus to their allocated bus they must present a note and pay $2.40. If it is a long term arrangement e.g. sport training, dance lessons etc., one note covering the period is sufficient for the bus company.

Bus travellers must follow the Department of Transport Code of Conduct for Bus Travellers.

The code states

Students will:

  • Behave safety at all times
  • Respect the needs and comfort of other passengers
  • Respect but property by not marking or damaging it
  • Always follow instructions about safety on the bus
  • Show their bus pass or ticket to the driver on boarding and when requested.
